About me

Dr Adam Boddison is an innovative leader of education with a broad portfolio of experience both in the UK and overseas.

 

Adam's current substantive role is Chief Executive for nasen, the leading SEND membership organisation for education professionals supporting children and young people across the UK.  Adam is also:

 

- Chair of the Board of Governors at Meriden       .  ...Primary School

- Vice-Chair of Governors at Stivichall Primary School

- a Fellow of the RSA

- a National Leader of Governance for the National  . .   .  College of Teaching and Leadership

- Trustee of the Active Learning Trust

- Trustee of the Oak Trees Multi-Academy Trust

- Chair of the Whole School SEND Consortium

 

Adam is co-supervisng two PhD students at the University of Warwick (Marina Charalampidi - Centre for Education Studies; Ayman Qahmash - Computer Science).

Notable experience includes:

 

- Former Director of the Centre for Professional Education (CPE) at the University of Warwick, where Adam secured Ofsted Outstanding judgements for both primary and secondary teacher training provision and ran a number of international education projects

 

- Former Academic Principal for the global educational social network: IGGY

 

- Chief External Examiner for the Undergraduate Secondary Education  Degree at Edge Hill University

 

- 10 years experience in the Residential Life Team at the University of Warwick, including five years as Warden of the Heronbank and Lakeside Student Village

 

- Author of The Maths behind the Magic 

 

- Series Editor for a suite of A-level Maths and Further Maths text books (Harper Collins, Cambridge International Education)

 

- Public profile through the media and through research/conferences

 

- Qualified clinical hypnotherapist (Institute of Clinical Hypnosis)
